Help connect North Berwick

Many Slow Ways have several route options. Some will be better than others, or good for different reasons.

Our goal is for each Slow Way to have at least one route that is verified and surveyed. To be verified – and get its snail badge – a route needs at least three positive reviews.

Give a hike and help get a for every one of North Berwick’s Slow Ways.

Latest Updates

Good paths all the way, and easy to follow (John Muir Way signs). Mostly off the road, and still direct. A really nice section through the woods in the middle....

There are parts of this route that are less pleasant (Gullane and immediately after), as you are on the pavement of a busy road, but on the whole it is still a nice walk and easy to follow. I split from it at Dirleton to go more directly to North Berwick (I now realise, following the John Muir cycle route), so I can't comment on the last loop....
